Hey, can I borrow everyones eyes? I got this post from a member of www.themud.com, and since you guys are seeing more vehicles up north than I am down here... I wondered if you could help a fellow wheeler. Heres the deal: Thu Sep 08, 2005 5:19 pm Post subject: STOLEN 88 JEEP WRANGLER FROM SWEET HOME OREGON -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My 88 Jeep Wrangler was stolen from my driveway on Sept 8,2005 between 11am and 2pm. It features the 'Chameleon Paint" which changes from Purple to Teal to Dark Blue and is very distinctive. It has Swampers and a Chevy 350 in it. If you have any information please call 911 with Case # 05-15510 or you can call me direct 541-367-8228 or 541-409-0547. It was stolen from Ames Creek Rd in Sweet Home. Thank you so much for any info! Karla

well, the good news is... the police found the jeep. the bad news is that the thieves primered the thing. heres the post...
I am just updating everyone about my Jeep. The wheels and tires were recovered from the Sweet Home High School parking lot on Friday morning. I recieved a call Sunday from the person who had the Jeep on his property and went up that evening with a car trailer and brought it home. They had spray painted primer over my beautiful paint, dented it up and pretty much destroyed the interior. It was all I could do not to puke right there... It appears to still run, though they changed out the ignition and I couldn't get it started. It was recovered from Crawfordsville Drive, outside of Sweet Home. The sheriff has a suspect other than the property owner and is looking for him now. I will post "before" & 'after" photos when I can.....They are truly sickening.
Theives and the people who knowingly purchase stolen property need to be punished!
Thank you to everyone who kept their eyes open for me. I am glad that I don't have to spend more time wondering what happened to it....
